Ink Jet Alliance follows successful Shanghai Seminar with Two New Industry Studies

Ink Jet Alliance (IJA) – is a new venture that provides consultancy services, market research, M&A services – and organises seminars and events – focused on the fast growing range of industrial applications for digital printing. The company brings on board a wealth of experience and comprehensive understanding of the emerging industrial applications of inkjet. The founding directors are Stewart Partridge (originally the MD of digital printing consultancy – Web Consulting from 1993 – 2005) and Aditya Chandavarkar (Founder of Inkjet Forum India). The company has established offices in Shanghai – China, Mumbai – India, Suffolk UK and will establish a base in USA later in 2016..

IJA launched its activities in China by organising a one-day seminar event on Wed 9th March 2016, the opening day of the Shanghai APPP Expo, at the new National Exhibition and Conference Centre in Hongqiao, Shanghai. Talks were given by leading Chinese and International speakers from the industry including Atexco, EFI Reggiani, Hongsam Inks, Human Digital and Ink Jet Alliance. Simultaneous translation into English / Chinese meant that all delegates were fully able understand all presentations, which were well received by all.

According to Aditya Chandavarkar, a Director of IJA, “With the development of enabling inkjet technologies and the emergence of reliable industrial high-speed textile inkjet presses, adoption of digital printing in the textile industry is now growing steadily. We realise that for new entrants into this technology in China and worldwide, there are challenges in understanding what types of systems and technology to invest in, and what moving to digital printing means to your business model. This new event was s step towards answering those questions.”

Stewart Partridge, MD of IJA, adds: “It is our goal to undertake research and create events and networking opportunities which, over time, will significantly aid the development and growth of ink jet printing into new industrial applications, within Asia and worldwide. Our landmark event this year for the ink jet industry will be held in Shanghai in October, and we will announce the structure and focus in the next two weeks. In addition, we have commenced research on two new and detailed industry studies – Digital Textile Printing, and the Global Market for Industrial Ink Jet Inks – which we are undertaking this year. These reports will include detailed analysis and forecasts for Asian markets such as China and India at a level not yet seen within this industry, creating a more balanced view of the global market – and further reports will follow.”

IJA also plans, alongside key strategic partners, to launch a range of services to help Chinese and Indian companies successfully target, analyse and acquire foreign businesses to expand their global market reach, and similarly help Western and Japanese companies to make acquisitions and establish successful joint ventures within China and India. More details will be provided with the launch of its web new site in April.

NEW HIGH-VOLUME FDM MATERIAL BOX INCREASES UNATTENDED RUN TIME FOR STRATASYS’ FORTUS 3D PRODUCTION SYSTEMS

Minneapolis and Rehovot, Israel – April 13, 2015 – Stratasys Ltd. (Nasdaq:SSYS), a leading global provider of 3D printing and additive manufacturing solutions, introduced Xtend 500 Fortus Plus, a high-volume filament package for Fortus 3D Production Systems. To learn more about Xtend 500, visit the Stratasys booth in Hall 7 Stand A40 at Hannover Messe 2015, April 13-17 in Hannover, Germany.

Designed for reliable and unattended high-volume use, each Xtend 500 box contains 500 cubic inches of FDM thermoplastic material, delivering more than five times the output of standard canisters. When two material boxes are loaded into a Fortus 3D Production System, users can expect up to 400 hours of unattended run time and up to 1,000 cubic inches of material use.

Xtend 500 gives users the freedom of fewer material changeovers, resulting in streamlined 3D production. This feature can also contribute to reduced operation costs. “For our customers, and 3D printing in general, developing a larger volume package is a huge step in navigating away from day-to-day 3D printer planning and operations,” said Brendan Dillon, product manager for Stratasys. “More time can now be spent on designing parts rather than wondering if the 3D printer is going to run out of material over the weekend.”

By implementing Xtend 500, manufacturers with prototyping needs and service bureaus producing large parts will benefit from reduced material changeovers, as well as logistical savings in shipping and storage. Xtend 500 is available in ABS-M30 (ivory and black) and PC and their respective support materials for the Fortus 450mc 3D Production System.

Owners of Fortus 360mc, 400mc and 900mc 3D Production Systems can also take advantage of Xtend 500 with a Fortus Plus system upgrade. Most system owners will benefit from streamlined logistics when they share material stock across systems.

For more information about Xtend 500 and the Fortus Plus upgrade, contact a reseller or visit the Stratasys website. Images are available by visiting the Stratasys newsroom.

NEW STRATASYS LARGE-SCALE OBJET1000 PLUS BRINGS ENHANCED VERSATILITY AND SPEED TO ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING

Minneapolis & Rehovot, Israel – April 13, 2015 – Stratasys Ltd. (Nasdaq:SSYS), a leading global provider of 3D printing and additive manufacturing solutions, has introduced the industrial scale Objet1000 Plus 3D Production System which offers extra large print size and accelerated speeds for demanding manufacturing applications including aerospace, automotive, medical devices, and consumer products as well as for service bureaus and universities.

To learn more about the Objet1000 Plus, visit the Stratasys booth in Hall 7 Stand A40 at Hannover Messe 2015, April 13-17 in Hannover, Germany.

The Objet1000 Plus brings versatility to the world of large scale 3D printing in its ability to mix materials and part sizes while maintaining ultra fine precision. Its extra large build envelope  (1000 x 800 x 500 mm or 39 x 31 x 19 inch) is efficiently traversed with a new optimized print block movement that accelerates print speeds up to 40 percent faster than its predecessor. This productivity boost alongside other refinements and simple post processing, results in reduced cost-per-part.

Users can choose from more than 100 Stratasys materials including the polypropylene-like Endur. The Objet1000 Plus can produce tough parts with smooth surface finishes in high-speed mode while taking advantage of the new Endur Digital Materials which combine two resins in a single material for a wider range of material properties.

“The range of materials is quite extensive,” says Ron Ellenbogen, Stratasys Product Marketing Director. “From rubber-like materials to Digital ABS to various Shore A levels, up to 14 material properties are possible on a single part. And many parts can be produced with varying properties in a single run.”

All the benefits of Stratasys PolyJet 3D printing technology on an industrial scale

Unlike many large-format systems, there is no trade-off between part size and part quality. The workflow is identical to smaller PolyJet 3D printing systems, and the system is simple to operate and is designed for long periods of unattended operation.

“Today’s designers and engineers at manufacturing companies and service bureaus need an additive manufacturing system that can take on all challenges – large and small. We believe that’s the big advantage of the Objet1000 Plus Production System. It is the first of its kind to combine large print sizes, multiple materials, accelerated print speeds, super fine resolution and a simplified workflow. If you need to create industrial 1:1 scale prototypes, large ergonomic production tools or low volumes of small parts – all with the superior surface finish and fine details engineers expect from Stratasys 3D printing – the Objet1000 Plus is  the best choice,” says Ellenbogen.

For more information about the Objet1000 Plus 3D Production System, contact a reseller or visit the Stratasys website. Images and a spec sheet are available by visiting the Stratasys newsroom.
